1951 Chevrolet 3100 AD Standard Cab Pickup

This 51 Chevy 3100 Standard Cab was purchased on 10/20/2015.  A VIN search going back to 2006 placed the truck back to Alabama.    

Purchased this drivable 3100 and enjoyed the truck as bought for many years before deciding to do a full frame off resto (with the goal to include many new custom features).   Prior to starting the frame off the truck was outfitted with a new front suspension done by Studleys Independent Suspension.  Also new rear springs and shocks were outfitted.  After removal of body parts, the frame was completely cleaned and sanded before applying a full coat of Zero Rust Black Inhibitive Coating.  The restoration is a work in progress and may have more done prior to sale.

The 327 small block engine and tranny were also removed for detailing and some new features.  The original fuel tank was removed and a new 19 Gallon tank installed in rear of frame.  The 327 has been outfitted with a CVF Wraptor Serpentine System, New Chrome Fuel Pump, exhaust tubes, Fenton Powder Coated intake manifold and Vintage Speed Rochester 2G 3x2 carbs powder coated in Chevy orange.. 

New Parts purchased include Classic Industries Quad Cluster Gauge Set (have original gauges), Chrome Adjustable Steering Column with Column Shift, new black Banjo wheel and horn button, new stainless steel radiator, chrome fan and shroud.   Many extra parts (have receipts for most everything)

This 51 Chevy 3100 5 Window Deluxe Cab was said to have 62,500 driven miles on it at the time of restoration.  New Beede gauges currently show 1575 miles, but not sure if they were installed at time of restoration or later.   Original 216 was replaced with a 235 6 cyl engine.  Runs smooth, no smoke.  Behind the engine sits a 350 turbo automatic driving a 10 bolt Camaro rear (most likely 323 gears).  The 235 has been upgraded with AC (summit under dash) and electric fan for cooling up front.   Wayne Valve covers give the little 6 cyl a nice classic look.  While still maintaining the straight axel, the truck has been upgraded with disc brakes up front.   The two tone (original Chevy colors – aspen and fathom green) paint scheme accents this truck very nicely.  Interior shows well with original bench seat and floor shifter.   Need room for new project….
